What to Expect

Three days packed with fun, faith, and fellowship! Immerse yourself in the Catholic Community of Arizona State University. Meet other dynamic young Catholics and get involved to prepare yourself for the college experience! Stay in the dorms, explore campus, sit in on academic sessions, go to Mass, and hear from great guest speakers!

Who is Invited?

Junior and Senior (for the 2018-2019 academic year) high school students that intend on attending Arizona State University.

The University of Mary - Tempe has teamed up with the Newman Center, ASU, and the Raza Development Fund to provide this incredible opportunity.

When?

Thursday, June 21st – Sat, June 23rd, 2018

Where?

Arizona State University! More specifically: the University of Mary - Tempe, located in the basement of the Old Church of the All Saints Catholic Newman Center.

How

Cost: $35 per person! This includes meals, institute fees, dorm expenses, and a T-shirt!

What is University of Mary?


University of Mary is a four-year Catholic institution located in Bismarck, ND Serving students in Arizona at its Tempe Campus.

UMary has partnered with the Diocese of Phoenix to bring Catholic higher education to Arizona State University! UMary offers a wide variety of faithfully Catholic classes that you can take while earning your degree at ASU.  This option allows you to gain elective credits or even double major in Theological Studies or Catholic Studies! 7:30pm Session #1 God’s Call & Our Response

8:15pm Session #2 The Purpose of College

10pm Compline Prayer and adoration

Optional – Night Time Tour of ASU with Professor and UMary Students

11:30pm – Lights Out

 

FRIDAY JUNE 22nd

8am Mass (Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus)

8:30am Breakfast

9am Session #3 Discovering God’s Plan in your life

10:15am Activity - First Day of Class Scavenger Hunt

11:15am Session # 4 Making a Gift of Self

12pm Lunch 

1pm Feed My Starving Children

3:45pm Session #5 Apologetics: Faith and Reason

5:30pm Holy Hour & Confession

6:30pm DINNER

7:30pm Evening Prayer

8:00pm Structured Free Time

10:30pm Curfew to Dorms

12am Lights Out

9am Session #6 Four Levels of Happiness

10:30am Session #7 Four Loves
